M&G is one of the UK’s oldest and largest active investors with just under £200 billion under management (as at 31 March 2011).  M&G has over 40 different UK and global funds. M&G also have some of the City’s most highly rated fund managers supported by one of the largest in-house research teams. M&G recent awards include 'Best Global Group' at the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards 2010 and 'Outstanding Investment House' from OBSR Honours for Excellence in Investment 2010.

This Direct Mail campaign was on the back of Winston Churchill being recently voted 'the greatest Britain'. HTW our external agency supplied the creative. The inhouse design team created the artwork. I selected the DM specialist from our roster of DM suppliers and managed the production. The Letter in the tube not only looked like a cigar with the M&G sticker holding it in a circular shape but I purchased a 'cigar' scent from a laboratory to add to the effect. The cigar tubes were sourced and bought from a supplier in Italy. The printing, lasering, sticking, finishing, adding the cigar scent and mailing was done by Lettershop in Leeds. The mailing went out on time and received a very good response.
